E-link offers a practical PoE extension solution with two models: the 10/100M 1-Port PoE Extender and
10/100M 4-Port PoE Extender, both engineered to extend Ethernet data and PoE power transmission
distances while maintaining reliable performance for non-PoE or remote edge devices. This series
adheres to 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet standards, making it compatible with most mainstream twisted-
pair cabling and network infrastructure.
The 10/100M 1-Port PoE Extender is equipped with 2 x 10/100M LAN ports, with clear functional division:
one port serves as the PoE power/data input (connecting to upstream PoE switches or PSE injectors), and
the other as the power/data output (linking to downstream devices). It fully complies with IEEE802.3af (PoE)
standards, supporting a single-port power input of 13W and a single-port power output of 12.2W—ideal for
small-scale scenarios requiring extension for individual devices such as single IP cameras, wireless access
points (WAPs), or small IoT sensors.
The 10/100M 4-Port PoE Extender features 5 x 10/100M PoE ports, with 1 port designated as the power/data
input and 4 ports as power/data outputs, enabling simultaneous extension for multiple devices. It adopts a
dual-standard design: the input port complies with IEEE802.3at (PoE+) for higher power reception, while
output ports comply with IEEE802.3af (PoE) for broad device compatibility. It supports a total power input
of 25.5W and a maximum single-port power output of 15.4W, suitable for small-to-medium deployments like
multi-camera security monitoring points or distributed WAP networks.
A core advantage of both the 10/100M 1-Port PoE Extender and 10/100M 4-Port PoE Extender is their ability
to extend the transmission distance of Ethernet data and PoE power up to 120 meters via standard Cat5 UTP
cables—effectively overcoming the 100-meter limitation of traditional PoE transmission. This eliminates the
need for additional power outlets or expensive fiber optic cabling in remote areas, greatly reducing deployment
costs and improving installation flexibility.
Whether used for extending power to a single edge device (with the 1-port model) or powering multiple devices
in a concentrated area (with the 4-port model), this 10/100M 1-Port PoE Extender & 4-Port PoE Extender series
offers plug-and-play convenience (no software configuration required) and stable performance. It is widely
applicable in scenarios such as campus security, retail store network expansion, and industrial IoT edge
deployment, providing a cost-effective solution for extending PoE coverage.
